The convoy of campervans and vehicles turned up on the fields behind Clarence Pier next to Pembroke Road and Pier Road on April 13.
It was the first traveller camp to be set up in Southsea so far in 2021.
Portsmouth City Council have started positioning rocks along the edge of green space bordered by Southsea Terrace and Duisburg Way, to deter illegal encampments.
