County council decides to close Sure Start centres in Hampshire
THE decision has been made to shut 54 Sure Start centres in Hampshire and create 11 district hubs.
Councillor Keith Mans, executive member for children’s services at Hampshire County Council, made the decision at today’s meeting.
It will see the council close the centres in a bit to save £8.5m.

She said: ‘I’m sorry. We lost. The council is shutting our precious Sure Start centres.
‘The fight will continue.’
The decision was made following a public consultation.
