Gosport MP issues stark jobs loss warning amid coronavirus fallout
Caroline Dinenage, Gosport MP, admitted more roles would be cut in the coming weeks. Her comments came after chancellor Rishi Sunak launched a new Job Entry Targeted Support scheme to help those who have lost their job due to the pandemic get back into the workplace.
Welcoming the scheme, Ms Dinenage added: ‘I know that government support has already been a lifeline for many of my constituents, with over 11,000 on furlough.
