Hide AdLeader of the council Councillor Gerald Vernon-Jackson encouraged people to come along. He said: ‘We want to know what type of housing local people want us to build, what kind of housing they would not want to see on the site and if there is anything else that they want us to take into account when we are putting together plans in the future.
‘It’s not an option for us to leave the site, and do nothing with it, because it’s costing the council money to keep it safe and because this is seen as a good opportunity to provide much-needed housing.’
The drop-in session will run from 9am to 7pm.
