Jeremy Corbyn re-elected as leader of Labour party
The decision, which was announced at 11.45am today, showed that Mr Corbyn received 313,209 votes while challenger Owen Smith received 193,229 votes.
The announcement was made at a Labour conference in Liverpool with 506,438 votes cast by party members.

Hide AdMr Corbyn said: ‘I want to thank the more than 300,000 supporters that have given me their support and trust in this Labour leadership election.
‘I am honoured to have won the vote.
‘I want to say thank you to Owen Smith as well. We have had an interesting summer of debates all over the country, thank you very much for all of that, for the good discussions and debates we have had which, no doubt we will continue.
‘We are part of the same Labour party and that is how it’s always going to be.’
He added: ‘It has been about our Labour family facing the future of how we do things together in the future.
