Portsmouth City Council’s powerful planning committee pushed through the proposals to enhance the football stadium earlier this week.
The scheme will see a raft of work being carried out to bolster the Milton End Stand.

Hide AdAmong the upgrades includes the installation of new turnstiles and entrances at the north-east and south-east corners.
Access for disabled fans would be boosted as part of the works, with changes to the north-east side including a new disability lift.
An additional toilet block would also be constructed.
Spectator numbers at the stand would be boosted with new seats to replace those currently unsafe for use – although overall stadium will be unchanged.
Other improvements include an extension of the roof to cover the disability lift and spectator seating, a new building to house toilets and a concession stand.
