Those were the words of pro-EU campaigners – including Portsmouth South MP Flick Drummond – who were out in force in Palmerston Road, Southsea, on Saturday.
Mrs Drummond said the campaigning had been ‘very encouraging’ and she met more people who said they would be voting to stay in than opting for Brexit.

Hide AdShe told The News: ‘We are part of the largest economic zone in the world.
‘Why would you want to give that up? We have access to the biggest market in the world.’
She said in a world of terrorism, Britain was safer in the EU.
She added: ‘Eleven per cent of our laws come from Europe and they are mostly about trade and the environment.
‘Eighty nine per cent of the laws are made in the UK.’
