Shoppers evacuated from busy Portsmouth store
SHOPPERS were evacuated from a busy department store this morning when a fire alarm sounded.
The incident took place in Debenhams in Commercial Road, Portsmouth, at 11am.
A crew from Southsea fire station went to the store.
A spokesman from the station said that the alarm had sounded due to a ‘fault in the system’ and the shop reopened shortly after.
