Accidental foam triggers call out from firefighters
FIREFIGHTERS were called to a factory after its drencher system was activated, covering the floor in foam.
The incident happened at Eaton Aerospace, in Abbey Park, Titchfield, at 4am yesterday morning.
The drencher system protects the aviation fuel tanks from igniting and mixes water with foam.
A crew from Hampshire Fire and Rescue Service’s Fareham station was called, but soon established there was no fire and that the drencher must have gone off accidentally due to a fault.
