University of Portsmouth cricket team hoping to break world record
The team, from the University of Portsmouth, completed the indoor match which lasted 30hrs 39mins and 27secs.
The current record is 25hrs 59 mins and was set by a South African club team in 2014.

Hide AdA video of the entire match plus photographs have been sent to Guinness World Records as evidence. Cricket club president Jack Maciver said: ‘The record attempt went really well, and we received good support throughout the attempt.
‘We were delighted that we managed to play for so long - hopefully it won’t be too long before we’re declared the new record-holders.’
The match was raising money for The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity. Jack added: ‘It’s a great cause and means a lot to a couple of our members, as it has helped people close to them.’
The record attempt was held at the university’s Spinnaker Sports Centre.
