The Met Office has put a yellow alert in place for the city and surrounding areas on Saturday.
It comes into force at midnight and will remain in place until 11am.

Hide AdMotorists are being warned that ‘icy stretches may lead to some difficult driving conditions’.
On its website, the Met Office adds: ‘Some injuries from slips and falls on icy surfaces.
‘Probably some icy patches on some untreated roads, pavements and cycle paths.
‘Outbreaks of rain, sleet and snow will clear southwards during the early hours of Saturday, but some showers will affect coastal districts.

Temperatures are set to be subzero in Portsmouth on Saturday, according to the forecast.
The Met Office is predicting lows of -2C and highs of 4C in the city tomorrow.
Between midnight and 9am it will ‘feel like’ -3C according to the forecasting service’s website.
The coldest temperatures in the Portsmouth area will be seen in Waterlooville, where lows of -3C are being forecast but it will feel like -4C in the morning and after 8pm.
