Met Office forecast the hottest day of the year in Portsmouth

Meteorologists are forecasting sunny conditions with temperatures in Portsmouth predicted to soar to 28 degrees Celsius by this afternoon.
The city is currently forecast to be the same temperature as Barcelona and hotter than Nice in the South of France.

Hide AdAcross the south of the country temperatures are forecast to potentially peak at a whopping 33 degrees Celsius which would comfortably make today the hottest day of the year – beating the 28.2 degrees Celsius experienced in Santon Downham on May 20.
Temperatures in Portsmouth tomorrow are forecast to hit 26 degrees Celsius before cooler conditions move in for the weekend.
