Storm Christoph: Latest weather and travel updates as storm brings heavy rain and winds to Portsmouth

The Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning for today and into tomorrow covering the city as well as the rest of Hampshire.
It came into force at midnight this morning and remains in place until noon on Thursday.

Hide AdStorm Christoph is the third named storm of the 2020/21 season, following Aiden and Bella.
On its website the Met Office warns: ‘Spells of heavy rain may lead to travel disruption and flooding in places.’
Winds of up to 48mph are being forecast for later today in Portsmouth.
Residents are warned to expect:
- Flooding of a few homes and businesses is likely
- Bus and train services probably affected with journey times taking longer
