Lee Brown and Steve Seddon were favoured instead.
Haunstrup made 19 appearances this season, in both left-back and right-back roles, and scored his maiden Pompey goal in a 2-1 FA Cup win at Harrogate.

In total, he’s made just 57 outings since being granted his debut against Derby County in September 2015.
It’s understood that Bristol Rovers' head of recruitment Tommy Widdrington is a fan of Haunstrup and remains on their radar.
The Gas were interested in him during the January transfer window earlier in the year.

Scotland is also an option for Haunstrup, with interest north of the border.
