Hide AdThe 26-year-old has been out for six week, but Cowley is excited at the boost he could offer his squad going forward at a critical moment.
He said: ‘I’d be upset if I don’t get him back.
‘We’ve missed him, so we’re hopeful of Saturday, but if not then definitely for the Accrington game - 100 per cent.’
‘Jordy’s pace, athleticism particularly in the latter part of games with them coming thick and fast
and players being tired, we’ve really missed being able to inject his energy and intensity to the top of the pitch.

‘He gives us pace, athleticism and loves the left-hand channel.
‘He carries a real threat, can play as a nine, 11 or off a target man as well.
Hiwula was restricted to just a single league start under Kenny Jackett and 13 appearances this season, with an ongoing clamour from fans for the former Coventry man to be given a chance.

Hide AdCowley explained how he can see the striker fitting in with the way he wants to play.
He added: ‘Jordy gives us a lot of different dimensions. I love his energy, love his movement when he comes in off the left side.
‘I also like his pressing against the ball and the intensity he gives you. That’s important to us’ because we like to defend early.
