While the Blues have yet to add to their ranks so far in this window, the same can’t be said for some of those with promotion pack, with the likes of Hull, Sunderland and Fleetwood all dipping into the transfer market to boost their ambitions.
Hull have, however, seen two players also depart.
But their losses won’t be felt as hard as one endured at Doncaster Rovers.
The promotion-pushers saw highly-rated captain Ben Whiteman depart for Preston on Thursday, which will represents a huge blow to their Championship hopes.
A sizeable but undisclosed fee was obtained for the midfielder’s services, though, which means Donny boss Darren Moore will be keen to reinvest the money very soon.
