Evans told KentOnline: ‘I don’t think Portsmouth are interested any more. They certainly haven’t registered any further interest in him.

‘We have received, as of yesterday, another bid from another League One club for Brandon.
‘I could use one word to describe it – insulting. But that is not my business, it belongs with the chairman.
‘We want Brandon to stay but it doesn’t matter if you are Brandon Hanlan or Messi at Barcelona. If you don’t want to be there there’s one answer – you shouldn't be there.’
