A goal from Ryan Pennery fired Gosport Borough through in the FA Cup with a 1-0 first qualifying round win at Sittingbourne.
Borough coach Matt Tubbs was pleased with the way Borough set about the task.
He said: '˜We played some good football to be fair.
'˜Importantly we kept a great shape and maintained our discipline which is what we asked for before the game.'
