Egg and Spoon at New Theatre Royal, Portsmouth
Egg and Spoon is about the cycle of the seasons and about a bird who just won’t come out of his egg.
While the audience waits for him the seasons race by, with birds who fly overhead, splashing in puddles and a dance at the butterfly party.

Patrick Lynch, artistic director of Lyngo and co-writer and actor in the piece says: ‘In these shows we rely on the children to play, something they are very good at doing, and we design the show to follow their play instincts.
‘We don’t try to control 40 toddlers, that would be chaos – we anticipate how they naturally play and build the show around that.’
