Giuda at The Glasshouse, Southsea REVIEW: 'They came, they saw, they conquered'
But the music of Slade, T-Rex, The Sweet et al has endured, its stomping beats and singalong choruses have entered pop-culture’s DNA.
And Giuda, the Italian five-piece have definitely taken the influence of its sound rather than its look onboard.

Four albums in they’ve become something of a cult concern in the UK – enough to draw a few hundred curious souls, and some definite hardcore fans, out on a cold January night.
The 17 song set whips by in barely an hour. From the opener, Overdrive, also the first song on 2019’s album EVA, the song titles give an indication of the territory – Tartan Pants, Teenage Rebel, Wild Tiger Woman, Bonehead Waltz. We’re not breaking new ground here, nor would their fans want them to.
While they sing in English, the band don’t actually say anything at all directly to the crowd until a ‘Thank you’ at the very end. The songs come in a continual barrage of riffs and that driving glam beat, with barely a pause for breath between songs.
