Gosport diving museum host pirate weekend of swashbuckling fun for families
Families walked the plank at Gosport Diving Museum’s free Pirates & Sunken Treasure weekender, before venturing on a swashbuckling treasure trail.
Museum volunteers Martin and Margaret Marks co-ordinated the event, and even dressed up as pirates to get in on the action.

‘We’ve already started receiving some positive feedback from families on Facebook.
‘About 200 people came over the weekend, which is good for us because we’re a very small museum.’
Youngsters were rewarded with chocolate gold doubloons at the end of the trail, before indulging in a treasure trove of activities, from quizzes to make-your-own friendship bracelet workshops.
