Franz Ferdinand once said: ‘If you can get the girls to dance then the boys will follow,’ and that was certainly the case here.
It’s been a while seen I’ve seen such an exuberant audience, with the room bouncing from the front of the stage to the back of the room. Opening the the appropriately titled A Young Understanding, the four 20-year-olds from Reading never let the pace drop all night.

Hide AdLeader singer Oscar Pollock is a charismatic frontman, with his lank blonde hair and skinny frame, it’s easy to see why he’s got women swooning.
Guitarist Dom Cordell sports a crowd-pleasing Pie & Vinyl T-Shirt, the band having made an in-store appearance at the Southsea store earlier in the day.
The band have a summer of festivals lined up, culminating with our own Victorious Festival. No doubt the mosh pit will be sizeably larger than here – make sure you are there.
