REVIEW: The Last Tango, The Mayflower Theatre, Southampton
The duo, who shot to fame on Strictly Come Dancing, give breathtaking performances at Southampton’s Mayflower Theatre in The Last Tango.
It is an appropriate title as Vincent and Flavia have said this will be their final stage show before concentrating on other projects.

Hide AdThe production charts through some high octane dance routines about the love between George (Vincent) and the girl he marries (Flavia).
Each routine, from George leaving to fight in the war, to starting a family on his return home, is sparked by an elderly George (Teddy Kempner) as he rummages through memorabilia in his attic.
The result is some varied and energetic routines with Vincent and Flavia supported by a talented ensemble of dancers and some fine vocals from Matthew Gent.
When a doctor breaks the news to George that his partner has died, you could hear the tissues coming out.

There was no sign of Strictly’s head judge in the audience but I have little doubt it would have been ‘a 10 from Len’ had he been there.
Until Saturday.
