Hide Adn Jeremy Hunter, 29, of Purbrook Way, Havant, admitted drink-driving in Kingston Road, Portsmouth, on May 20.
He was fined £750 and banned from driving for 14 months.
A test revealed he had 52 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath, more than the 35mcg legal limit.
Hunter must pay a £75 victim surcharge and £85 prosecution costs.
He also admitted failing to surrender to custody and was fined £250.

Hide Adn Lacey Rimmer, 27, of Bromyard Crescent, Paulsgrove, admitted using threatening or abusive words or behaviour or disorderly behaviour within the hearing or sight of a person likely to be caused harassment, alarm or distress on March 25 in Church Road, Landport, Portsmouth.
Magistrates imposed a 12-month conditional discharge and Rimmer must pay a £15 victim surcharge.
n Dariusz Topolski-Ciurus, 51, of no fixed address, admitted drink-driving.
He was caught driving a lorry at the ferry port in Portsmouth on June 11.

She was caught on May 28 in Guildhall Square, Portsmouth.
Magistrates fined her £50 with a £30 victim surcharge and £85 prosecution costs.
