Pompey favourite Hermann Hreidarsson has departed as manager of Icelandic side Fylkir after their relegation.

It’s the latest in a long line of relegations for the former Blues defender, who holds the record for falling out of the Premier League five times along with Welsh striker Nathan Blake.

Hreidarsson suffered falling out of the top flight with Crystal Palace (1998), Wimbledon (2000), Ipswich (2002), Charlton (2007) and Pompey (2010).

The former Iceland defender was named Fylkir boss in July last year.
