Aaaaaw yes! Owners celebrate furry friends at annual awards.

The second annual Animal Star Awards took place at the Marriott Hotel, North Harbour earlier this month as owners from all around the UK celebrated their pets. Animal Star Awards support Isle of Wight Donkey Sanctuary and Brent Lodge wildlife Hospital. Mary Burgess, the organiser, said: ‘These awards are to give recognition to animals and humans alike for the extraordinary things they do for one another. Having a pet improves your life and if you bring an animal into your family it becomes a member. ‘And that’s another aspect of the awards – it’s raising awareness of the love and companionship animals give to people.’
