Accountancy firm gives support to heart charity

ACCOUNTANCY firm Wilkins Kennedy sponsored a charity that provides support to people being treated in the Wessex Cardiac Centre.

Staff and partners at the company, which has offices in Portsmouth, picked Wessex Heartbeat.

Ken Wilde, commercial manager at Wessex Heartbeat, said: ‘Since our foundation in 1992, we have successfully raised more than £15.8m. The funds were allocated to crucial improvement projects in the Wessex Cardiac Centre that wouldn’t have otherwise happened. In 25 years, the cardiac centre has treated more than 40,000 people with heart conditions every year, including around 7,000 children.
