Accountants help at charityÂ

WORKERS from chartered accountants Moore Stephens swapped numbers and business advice for gardening, by volunteering with Wessex Heartbeat.

The team, which has offices in Chichester, Southampton and on the Isle of Wight, spent a day at the charity's Heartbeat House in Southampton '”tidying up the garden, potting winter plants, jet washing the patio and painting and varnishing a bench.

Heartbeat House offers 25 bedrooms, a lounge, and facilities for relatives of people undergoing treatment in the Cardiac Centre at Southampton General Hospital. 

Aimee Knowles, Moore Stephens' marketing manager and one of the volunteers, said: '˜A number of us were aware of the wonderful facilities at Heartbeat House, and we wanted to help make it even nicer for those staying there.'
