A LAW firm has managed to raise more than £4,000 for a children’s charity with a special event.

Trethowans, which has offices throughout the south coast, has raised more than £4,000 for The Child Brain Injury Trust.

The firm’s personal injury team held a successful Alice in Wonderland-themed dinner in London to raise funds for the charity.

Ninety guests were in attendance, made up of staff from offices in London and Hampshire, contacts and supporters of the charity. Guests got into the swing of things, taking part in the charity auction and raffle.

The money will fund over 75 hospital visits for the Child & Family Support team.

Rhiannon Daniel, senior associate in the personal injury team and organiser of the event, said: ‘Sadly in my line of work I see all too often the devastating effect that brain injuries can have not just on children but on their entire family.

It is our pleasure to support and raise significant funds for this worthwhile charity.’

Lisa Turan, CEO of the Child Brain Injury Trust, said: ‘The Trethowans dinner was a fantastic success and we thank all of the people who supported this event.

‘We are delighted to be working in partnership with Trethowans and welcome the firm on to our London Legal Support Service which provides families with expert advice when a child has suffered a brain injury.”
