Jobs saved as Bargain Booze owner sells retail division for £7m

A POSITIVE outlook on life and a flavoursome bitter proved to be a winning formula for a brewery at a beer festival.

This year’s Petersfield Beer and Cider Festival, at Petersfield Festival Hall, saw scores of entries and more than 1,200 drinkers.

Hoptimists Brewery took the winning spot of best brew with its beer called Glass Half Full.

Nominations flooded in for the copper-coloured Best Bitter which uses a blend of British and American hops to produce a good session beer with a nice bitter aftertaste and pleasant floral hop aroma.

Organiser Georgie Bushell said: ‘We would like to share a big thank-you to everyone who came, supported and helped to make the new event this year a great success.’
