IT has taken 16 days and more than 1,800 miles, but the 2013 Rolls-Royce Motor Cars Centenary Alpine Trial has ended.

Owners of cars old and new piloted their machines up and down the Alps to recreate the first race 100 years before.

The 1913 Alpenfahrt led commentators to declare that Rolls-Royce built the ‘Best Car in the World’ – now made in Goodwood.
