A SERIES of events aimed at securing investment for the next big ideas will take place during Portsmouth’s first participation in Global Entrepreneurship Week.

As previously reported in The News the week will take place between November 18 and 24, and is a collaboration between the Innovation Warehouse, the University of Portsmouth, and other key businesses.

On November 22 the Solent Business Angels Conference will be held, which will include three events aimed at securing investment for entrepreneurs.

The events will kick-off with Angel’s Den at the Action Stations auditorium within Portsmouth Historic Dockyard.

There will be a list of entrepreneurs prepared and ready to pitch to expert investors, and attendees will be able to listen in to find out what to do – and not to do – when making a pitch of their own.

The conference itself will launch on the same day, and will be followed by a networking event at the Mary Rose Museum.
