A RADIO station’s Easter appeal saw more than 5,000 eggs donated.

Wave 105’s Cash for Kids scheme saw charity supporters and listeners purchase an extra egg this Easter and take them to drop-off points. The eggs were then distributed to disadvantaged children.

Charity manager Gloria Hill said: ‘We couldn’t have done this without the support of extremely generous individuals, schools as well as a host of businesses.’

Cash for Kids supports under-18s who are financially, socially, emotionally or physically disadvantaged.
