Arsonists thought to be behind two bin fires at Havant tower block

Firefighters from Havant Fire Station were called to a bin fire at 3am yesterday on the Chidham Park Estate. 

They were then called to another fire in two wheelie bins at the bottom of a block of flats at 4.20am. 

Residents from four flats were evacuated and had their properties checked for smoke damage. 

A spokesman from the fire service said they were treating the incidents as '˜suspicious' and they had been reported to police.
