A FLEET management company has scooped an industry accolade at the annual Fleet Safety Awards, organised by charity Brake.

Applied Driving Techniques in Segensworth won the Fleet Safety Analysis and Action Award in recognition of its work with energy company SSE, which has resulted in the implementation of an innovative fleet compliance and risk management programme covering 14,000 drivers in the UK.

Director Andy Phillips said: ‘This award is recognition for the positive results we’re achieving with SSE. It has increased compliance of its permit to drive policy, while seeing a reduction in speeding events and high risk drivers.

‘The company is now well-placed to analyse, measure and minimise risk factors within fleet operation, enabling it to take appropriate action to achieve the highest levels of road safety.’
