A VOLUNTEERING award has been handed to Andrew Weston, centre manager at the Basepoint-operated Gosport Business Centre, for his work with the Rainbow Centre for Conductive Education in Fareham.

He was handed the award by the mayor of Fareham, Brian Bayford, and his wife Cllr Susan Bayford, the mayoress.

Andrew was nominated by the staff of the Rainbow Centre for his work over the past few years which saw him involved with various events, from hosting a craft fair to becoming a member of the Rainbow 21 Committee and helping organise celebration events.

Gosport Business Centre has been able to match-fund the Rainbow Centre by £10,000 per year, thanks to the ACT Foundation, its parent company and a leading UK grant-giving charity.
