Bedhampton fish and chip shop to become owner’s first in UK to reopen
A BEDHAMPTON restaurant will be its owners’ first in the country to reopen as part of a trial period after being closed since lockdown started.
Deep Blue Restaurants has been working on plans to reopen its fish and chip restaurants and will begin with the Bedhampton Road store.
It will open for online orders for delivery and collection on Wednesday, May 6 and will be used to inform the gradual reopening of the remaining locations over the coming weeks.
Chief operating officer David Ellison said: ‘Our Bedhampton store has an active community of customers who are well versed with ordering online for collection or delivery, so we will be encouraging the use of our website and delivery drivers where possible.
‘We have also taken additional precautions to keep our team and customers safe should customers need to visit the store.’
