Boost for ferry services

A MAJOR £45m development to improve ferry services from Portsmouth has been approved.

Wightlink Ferries received conditional planning permission from Isle of Wight councillors to upgrade port facilities at the company’s Fishbourne car ferry terminal.

Plans by the company to enhance terminal facilities at Gunwharf Quays in Portsmouth, including a double-decker loading system, were given the go-ahead last month.
