Wessex Heartbeat has joined forces with Dancing Man Brewery and See Southampton to provide several Healthy History Walks.

Launching on June 5, participants will start with a relaxing drink at Dancing Man, in Town Quay, Southampton. From there, they will be taken on a series of walks, guided by a local expert, while exploring the history of the city.

Dancing Man’s Mandy Lacey said: ‘We are delighted to have Wessex Heartbeat on board and hope that the money raised from ticket sales will help the charity greatly.

‘The walks will be an excellent opportunity to get fit, while discovering some of the city’s hidden secrets. Plus, an award-winning craft beer will help start the journey.’

John Munro, chief executive of Wessex Heartbeat, added: ‘It is wonderful that local organisations are coming together to help the community, providing an excellent opportunity to raise awareness of cardiac health factors and get active.

‘The occasional beer isn’t too bad for your heart, so we hope those walking enjoy their well-deserved pint!’
