UPHAM Brewery in Bishop’s Waltham is celebrating after selling a record 2,340 pints over the duration of Southampton Boat Show.

The show, which ran from Friday, September 12 to Sunday, September 21, got off to a flying start with nearly 600 pints of Upham’s flagship ale, Punter, sold during the first weekend and the first sale of a boat being made by 10.30am on the opening day.

London Irish RFC players, Nic Rouse and Sean Cox, attended as the brewery has agreed to sponsor the club.

Director of Upham Brewery David Butcher said of the show: ‘This is the second year we’ve had a bar at the PSP Southampton Boat Show and it is something we are proud to be a part of.

‘The show is organised to a high standard each year and it was great to give our customers a bit of a treat by inviting down a couple of the London Irish players.’
