People will have the chance to shine from 10am to 3pm tomorrow when producers from the hit ITV show visit Cascades Shopping Centre, as they travel the country searching for the next big thing.

‘Everyone at the centre is really looking forward to hosting the Portsmouth auditions for Britain’s Got Talent,’ said centre director Rhoda Joseph.

‘The city has some incredibly talented people and this is a great opportunity for them to show that off to the nation.

‘We’re all excited to see if the next big star comes from the area.

‘We welcomed The X Factor mobile auditions to the centre earlier in the year and we’re delighted that the Britain’s Got Talent team have followed in their footsteps by hosting auditions here.’

The auditions are open to aspiring acts of any age or talent. All that is needed is a skill and star quality.

Executive producer Amelia Brown said: ‘We’ve had some amazing winners over the past 10 series, from this year’s champion Richard Jones, who was the first magician to ever win the show, right through to Paul Potts, Diversity and Collabro.

‘We can’t wait to see what talent Portsmouth has to offer.

‘Anyone can apply – there’s no age limit and we are looking for all kinds of talents, so if you feel you have something special to show us then make sure you apply. You never know where it might take you.’

This year marked the 10th anniversary of Britain’s Got Talent with soldier and magician Richard Jones being crowned the winner.

The magician captivated the nation with his mind-reading performances and his moving finale performance and tribute to WWII prisoner of war and magician Fergus Anckorn.

Aspiring acts can also apply now via itv.com/talent and register for one of the audition days later in the year.

A video audition can also be sent in.
