BUSINESSES are invited to become skippers for the day at a charity sailing regatta in Port Solent Marina.

The British Heart Foundation has teamed up with Sunsail Racing to hold the event on a variety of dates in September.

The day is suited to companies looking to entertain clients, treat staff, or provide a team networking opportunity – all in aid of the charity.

A team of ten costs £2,250 to enter, which includes the hire of an F40 Sunsail yacht and two skippers on board, plus a committee yacht, race officer, two races, and breakfast, lunch and afternoon tea.

Mary Bareham, fundraising volunteer manager for the charity, said: ‘This is a fantastic fundraising event for companies to get involved in.

‘It’s brand new for us and with a variety of dates available in September we’re hoping businesses contact us and book their place.

‘Budding sailors will be able to channel their competitive side in an attempt to make their company the winner.’
