THE famous Butlins Redcoats have had a retro makeover to celebrate the company’s 75th birthday this year.

The new image – for this year only – is inspired by the original 1936 uniform which includes white skirts and pumps for the girls and white pressed trousers for the boys.

For the launch, all the Redcoats in Britain were brought together for the first time ever at the Ocean Hotel and Spa in Bognor Regis.

Bognor Regis resort director Jeremy Pardey said: ‘Butlins has a special place in the hearts of the British public, so a much-loved retro uniform is a great way to celebrate our wonderful heritage.

‘Today’s Butlins Bognor Regis is a fantastic place for families to take a break to rediscover the fun that sometimes gets lost in everyday life.’
