DEDICATED followers of fashion are being offered the chance to give to a good cause and help disabled children.

Footwear shop Schuh – which has a branch in Commercial Road, Portsmouth – has joined forces with the UK’s leading disabled children’s charity Newlife Foundation to offer customers a new way to donate.

Branches across the UK are selling reusable cotton bags for £2 and will donate 20p of that to the charity.

Schuh raised more than £6,000 through the Sell Your Soles scheme, which rewarded customers with £10 vouchers when they donated their old shoes, which were then recycled.

Newlife’s chief executive officer Sheila Brown said: ‘The Sell You Soles promotion raised valuable funds for the charity, helping to fund vital equipment grants for families in need.

‘Schuh’s generous support is integral to our ability to do this.’
