Card firm owner's joy as Theo Paphitis tweets her

Angela Chick, from Southsea, creates playfully-illustrated greetings cards and gifts.

Last week, she tweeted Theo about her business and was delighted to be one of the weekly winners to gain a retweet by Theo, reaching more than 500,000 followers on Twitter.

She said: ‘It’s exciting to have been given such a boost by someone as recognisable as Theo.

‘I’ve already made some great new connections on social media and seen a nice jump in traffic to my website.

‘It’s a nice early start to the Christmas shopping season.

‘This has been an exciting year for firsts in my business – in September I took part in my first big trade show, Top Drawer, up at London Olympia, and now I’ve been warmly welcomed to the Small Business Sunday family by Theo Paphitis.’

Theo set up the Small Business Sunday initiative in 2010 to promote small businesses, such as Angela’s.
