New career opportunities will be opened up at a free event in Paulsgrove.

Portsmouth City Council is running The Paulsgrove Opportunities Fair at the Hillside and Wymering Centre in Cheltenham Road tomorrow from 10am to 12.30pm.

The event is sponsored by Carillion and brings together job opportunities, training agencies, volunteering opportunities, educational providers, and support services, who will all give advice and guidance about different types of careers that are available.

People are invited to meet Carillion, Tesco, Whitbread, NHS, the Army Recruitment Team and other employers, and gain support towards employment at the centre’s Job Club which will also run through the event.

Rod McLean, area development worker, said: ‘This is a fantastic way to bring new career opportunities, training and advice to the north of the city. Everyone is welcome to come along, and we hope to see you there.’
