Celebrity spot! The Dulux dog has come to Portsmouth

The store manager and staff at the city’s first ever Dulux Decorator Centre were ‘delighted’ to meet the famous Dulux dog at its opening on February 15.

The fluffy mutt attended the event alongside the Lord Mayor of Portsmouth, Councillor Ken Ellcome.

Councillor Ellcome and the shop’s managing director John Henderson opened the site, on Admiral Park Industrial Estate, by cutting the ribbon.

Guests received an exclusive goody bag and got their chance to have their picture taken with the famous dog.

The site is also looking to partner with local causes by giving away free paints and accessories to support ongoing projects within the region.

Store manager Robert Parr said: ‘We were​ ​honoured to have our opening attended not only by the Lord Mayor himself but also a​ ​celebrity, the Dulux Dog.

‘It was an excellent day for us all. We received a lot of great feedback from DIYers​ ​and professionals. We’re looking forward to serving the community for many​ ​years to come.’
