POSTAL delivery times around the Chichester area are changing.

Homes that fall with the Bosham, Chichester and Selsey areas – those with postcodes PO18, PO19 and PO20 – can expect their post to turn up at a different time over the coming weeks.

Royal Mail said it needs to act as the number of letters being sent has fallen – and people are more likely to send larger and heavier parcels.

Postmen and women will be using new equipment to carry heavier post bags.

In a statement the Royal Mail said post would continue to be delivered in the morning and for a longer period during the day but not all customers will get their mail by lunchtime.

It said the change in delivery routes will mean the post may arrive earlier or later than it used to.

And delivery arrangements and times will be adjusted depending on the amount of mail.
