Changes to bus routes and timetables praised

First Solent has announced it will be making changes to several of its routes across Portsmouth, Waterlooville, Fareham and Gosport starting on Sunday, April 10.

The most significant revision will be to routes 9 and 9a, which will operate along the bus way between Fareham and Gosport, missing West Street.

Fareham North West councillor Peter Davies said: ‘This is something I’ve argued for for a long time. I congratulate First on making very sensible revisions.’ Dervla McKay, general manager of First Solent, said: ‘We are delighted that most of the revisions we are making are designed to improve the reliability of our services.’

First will hold events in April so customers can ask questions and give feedback.
