THE new John Lewis at Home store in Chichester will be donating an hour of its staff’s time to charity for every gold medal the British Olympic and paralympic teams win this summer.

The charities to benefit will be chosen by store staff – called partners – and offered their time.

Branch manager Claire Dunkason said: ‘We hope to provide real value to local charities and organisations by helping them in whatever way we can, whether that be assisting with fundraising efforts or by simply providing some much-needed manpower.

‘Our partners also stand to benefit significantly from the initiative by experiencing a new working environment.’
